Pet Portraits.
I started with my good boy, Ace. I painted him as a study to help with portraits and to train on painting fur and the like. I was later asked to do a commission of Sadie.

My next portrait was of my cat Brewster. I didn’t want to just paint him in a standard portrait, so I painted him as a cat god, with a Studio Ghibli feel about him. I wanted to show both sides of Brewster, the good and the little devil side! Thus we had a duality piece.
My latest portrait is of Athena, the last of my three animals. I enjoyed painting Brewster as a god, so with Athena, I took it a little further. I had an old picture of her that I loved, so I decided to take inspiration from that and make her more ethereal and god-like, really emphasizing her fluff and luscious locks!
